East Tennessee Food on Foot

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger and ye took me in:  Matthew 25:35, K.J.V.

Food on Foot's annual toy/pajama giveaway will be held on Saturday, December 20th, at our main location in east Morristown.  Thanks so much to all who have brought in donations of food, money, toys, shoes, & pajamas!! There are just too many to name but please know we are grateful for each and every one of you and your businesses, churches, organizations, and families!!! We do still have a need for food, new toys, and new pajamas. Donations can be dropped off during the week between 9am-1pm until Dec. 18th at our main building as well as the following locations:  Rix Copies, TriSummit Bank, Colonial Loan, Avalon Fitness, Royston Hyundai, and Vintage Beauty Shop in Bean Station.  Thank you so much! Blessings to you all!

Tn Food on Foot was founded as a Christian-based nonprofit organization that began providing nutritious food bags to the hungry and homeless in Morristown to help underprivileged children. Although it originally began as a children's ministry, God has grown it into an organization that now provides over 1200 food bags per month for both children and adults in the Lakeway area and surrounding counties.  In addition, nearly 870 food bags are distributed to local elementary and middle schools each week who have needy children.  Over 185 toiletry bags are given out each month as well as school supplies and backpacks. In 2013, over 1500 backpacks loaded with supplies were handed out to local children in need.  Food on Foot also distributes special religious holiday items.  This past Easter, they distributed 750 Easter baskets filled with goodies and each one included a bible that was donated by Lifeway Christian Store.  At Christmas, they handed out almost 1000 new toys and 1000 pairs of new pajamas to children that otherwise might have had nothing.  Food on Foot's hope for the future is that NO child will go hungry.

*During the Summer months, Food on Foot will continue to distribute food bags on Saturday mornings at 11:30am, but will also be supplying food bags on Wednesday mornings as well.
